A concept of the realms of existence in which there are small realities that are separate from, but share a plane with, the higher planes (such as the Material Plane or The Umbra). One could consider these realms within realms, or sub-planes. It is theorized from rarely documented and highly debated GF and energy being dialogues that pocket realms can be tailored to suit the preferences of powerful beings that command them. Pocket realm examples listed below. Some GFs are junctioned to phylacteries in the material plane and are severed from their realm, like The Brothers.
- The Crystal Stage: A realm shared by Shiva and Carbuncle. Appears to be a land of sparkling gemstones with a central spire of diamond.
- Mare Infinitus: A realm shared by Leviathan and Siren. An ocean vast and never ending. There is a particularly craggy rock maze jutting from the waters. It is said that those who die at sea go to Mare Infinitus.
- The Solemn Throne: The castle realm of Odin. It was once a grand citadel, bustling with life. Now it is more like a necropolis and only one resides there. It is always raining, the citadel in disrepair looking like all the residents suddenly left in a panic.
- The Thundercloud: The extraplanar home of Quezacotl and Ahriman. A thick, fog filled lightning cloud without land.
- Memoria: The perplexing ethereal citadel of Alexander and Phoenix. A realm of bizarre architecture too unreal to be attempted on the material plane. Hallways that lead to nowhere and everywhere, grand galleries operated by strange magics. There are staircases that seem to twist and lead to multiple stories.
- The Aery: Pandemona and Garuda make their home here. A realm of sky spanning a vast distance. A central hub of a floating stone isle is the only land.
- The Waking Dream: A realm for Kujata, Gilgamesh and the Tonberry King. A confusing realm where puzzles rule an ever changing environment.
- Infernus Totalum: A realm of flames outside the Stygian Gulf, home to Ifrit.
- The Sanguinary Spire: Home to Bahamut. This infinitely tall tower of unknown origin was claimed by the Wyrmlord, who destroyed it’s former occupants.
- The Stygian Gulf: Home to Cerberus, and once home to Diablos.
- The Singularity: The home of Eden. An island resembling a black hole. A corridor of strange wormholes leading to various points in spacetime. Eden can move through any of these wormholes.
