Veronahill

Geography: Veronahill is located west of Timber in a natural ravine. The Yasma River flows to the west of it, separating it from the rest of Galbadia, though it can be crossed by ferry to a dock near Perennahill.

Culture: The town is populated and run almost exclusively by students and staff of the University of Veronahill. The town is considered trendy, and is full of young people exploring their passions and ideas. There are restaurants, gastropubs, a great deal of craft brewing, art shows and live music.

Architecture: The University campus dominates the majority of Veronahill, but there is a small town usually bustling with activity, even in the off seasons. The buildings are avant garde and modern, all designed by students and teachers and built by tradespeople in Perennahill to the east. 

Industry: The University supports and is supported by Veronahill, and due to the rising number of young people looking for a university education in 17AW, it is always busy. The economy of the town is fairly closed off from the rest of Galbadia.

History: Originally a part of Timber, Veronahill was absorbed by Galbadia over 100 years ago and is home to the Univeristy of Veronahill, Galbadia’s most prestigious university. Because there are so many young hopefulls in Veronahill, a G-Army recruitment office was built there – though it has received criticism for glorifying the life of the G-Soldier.
