//Personality & Character:
Zen is a bookworm and an introvert, with no experience in making friends. His confidence isn’t all that, considering the sheer new-ness of life in the garden, and he regularly uses books to avoid people, as books make sense to him, people do not. In a group, he usually will keep quiet during the decision making, but if pressured, he voices his opinion with wisdom and logic.
It is worth noting that in battle, his uncertainty disappears, replaced with a confidence seldom seen anywhere else.

//Combat Data & Limit Break
Zen prefers longer shirts, so that he may have freedom of movement without exposing his lower torso. His favorite is his dark blue tunic that comes down past his backside. For pants, He prefers simple denim carpenter jeans, because pockets are a must. He wears a digital wristwatch with a cloth band on his left wrist, and a black-and-white checkered bracelet on his right. He wears his Garden-issued combat boots for the most part, at first to break them in, and later on because they’ve finally become comfortable.
Zen is skilled in the use of longswords in battle, but there’s not much to tell, and plenty of room for improvement. He also utilizes a noteworthy command of curative magic.
Limit Break: Upon sufficient study in the arts of war, Zen utilizes unorthodox magic for his limit breaks, which usually entails some form of backlash or another. He uses these magics with a different stance from other para-magic, planting his sword in the ground to focus energy in the pommel and triangulate energy between it and his hands.
//History
Zen came from a family of moderate success in Timber. His life consisted mostly of his studies and swordplay lessons, and between these and being groomed to take over the family business, he didn’t have time for much of a social life. Eventually, he felt trapped, having his whole future planned out without his consultation. He packed himself a travelsack and belted his sword, then left in the middle of the night without saying goodbye.
He took the tunnel connecting Galbadia with Balamb, and arrived without particular event. He showed up at Garden’s gates with the clothes on his back, the sword on his belt, a little bit of traveling food, and a couple of books, and here he remains.
